Bubble Blowing for fun —

Today was a bubble blowing day. Oh for fun at the "Flying Pig" outside of the town of Algoma, Wisconsin. Cookie has been running perfect and getting us everywhere we wish to go. I have been procrastinating about writing on the blog. Will have to catch up this evening.

it is time for Lovise to update things and let you all know where in the world we are... 

Spent Wednesday night in Green Bay with friends of Telma's  GREAT PEOPLE Paul and Darlene!! Thursday it was off to Door County and an overnight with cousin Lynn & husband Dick in Sister Bay..... Friday we did the DC tour, some pretty county and county parks 

The road to Northport the tip of Door County that has the ferry to Washington Island, ok I fess this is a picture of a picture (above)but I wanted it to show there are truly long and winding roads... and it was very strange to drive on....

Friday came back to Green Bay and had a WONDERFUL fish fry with Paul and Darlene at a little hidden place YUMMY Darlene was right about the hash browns and the coleslaw was really really good, wish I had the secret recipe for the dressing, just couldn't quite figure it out...  Paula and Darlene compiled a list of places of interest between here and Oconomowoc I am leaning toward a couple of places will have to see if Telma concurs.  I kind of want to stay in the haunted hotel in Fon du Lac  will see ..... 

Tomorrow night I will have to get Telma to get prosaic and share some of her pictures..... all in favor say AYE!  

Oh my good thing.....

That Telma and Lovise stayed in Stevens Point last night, though about going to Appleton but they got hit by some serious winds 70+ mph.  90% of city was with out power and there were trees down everywhere!!  Going down Memorial Dr to the highway we got rerouted, HUGE power pole with big transformers on top looked like a match stick snapped right off, wires all over the place and city electric and telephone people all over the place.  Businesses closed, no power what a mess.  Made all the little earthquakes (not the BIG one) look like childs play!!

The good news is the weather has all passed through and we should see any more of this!!  

Well Lovise is tired and gonna hit the hay, should get to Sister Bay/Door County tomorrow sometime, cousin Lynn got a pull out for the road trip divas....

End destination for Tue night was Stevens Point.... today we head to Green Bay via Appleton... will see what we see.  Had some rain last night and according to Telma there was THUNDER oh my sometimes it is a good thing that Lovise don't hear so good. 
Hope we see some sun..... but from the forecast looks like more rain...... 
Time to put things in the car and get ready to move on down the road.....  

I LOVE VERNA FEST

 We actually arrived on Thursday evening after a few detours, I forgot about what season we were in here...... ROAD WORK/DETOUR 

 Verna Fest was established in 2010 to honor and remember Verna, Margit's (aka Telma) mother.  A way for the younger generation to get to know her and remember her.

Marcia had this sign the 1st year, it was not as 'finished' as it is now and always a welcoming sign...

 Telma og Lovise won the MN Twins contest with these 2 lovely matching dresses purchased at Walmart for the vast sum of $7 each.... We got 2/3'rds of the see no, hear no, speak no evil monkeys as our reward, next year they will be passed on to winners in another Twins or similar catagory

This lovely trophy, dubbed Lucille (in honor of Verna's good friend and bingo buddy Lucille) will be given next year to some lucky participant in a yet un-named category.  I am not a VERNA (only blood line can be Verna's) so since I am Margit (Telma's) partner in crime I have been for the Verna Fest been dubbed Lucille #1, I am HONORED!!!

Tomorrow Telma og Lovise will hit the road early to head to Decorah IA and from there till Oconomowoc we might be found anywhere...... Since it is late it is not time for Lovise to hit the rack got to be out of bed, showered, packed and on the road x 10!!!  

the fun has begun

Supper at Alex's Charhouse in Roseville, me Clair, Wendy, Lila, Karen, Lori, 'Telma' & Patty Lori's cousin.  
The day started with meeting up with Lori in Flom before they headed to the Cities, it was quick cause we had 'business' in Fargo.  
So after the 'business' we went to Axel's little play at Island Park (with the Y camp group) and Lovise (aka the klutz) was going to get a few pictures and some of the family having picnic lunch and she took a biff off the step, trying to back up for the shot.  Only thing terribly hurt was dignity LOL, road rash on leg but I missed the knee!!!  Oh camera was totaled, unsalvageable!! 
After the play 1st stop was orthodontist for a loose wire to be fixed on Telmas tin grin, than to K-Mart for a new camera (unexpected expense §:-( ) and finally on the road to Roseville.  
After supper it was off for an early start to Verna Fest we arrived at Marcias a little after 10 pm and pretty much crashed.... long day for Telma og Lovise and no convertible but we did have the "Cookie" car..... nice ride and we didn't have to car jack any for it..... 

9.5 out of 10

Left CA at 6 AM PDT  arrived Fargo 1:55 PM CDT  Two 9.5 landings (I rate landings on a 1-10 scale) good to be 'home' 

Today we head out for parts unknown and will be there for the start of Verna Fest tomorrow... Telma and Lovise bringin' there A game for the 'fashion' show and will be doing some thrifting before we get there and also some food shopping.....   Watch out MN, WI, IA & MI and points between......  later
